The firm’s roots began three generations ago in 1930 when John P. Coghlan, the grandfather of attorneys Barbara J. Coghlan and Mark J. Coghlan, launched a litigation boutique. James L. Coghlan led the firm for more than 40 years and helped pioneer the creation of a multi-state subrogation program utilizing proprietary customized software to manage efficiently the voluminous data.
